Outcomes data is published. Our network hospitals report 30-day mortality, infection rates, length-of-stay, and procedure-specific outcomes that meet or exceed U.S. STS, NSQIP, and ACS benchmarks for the specialties we coordinate.
Volume drives proficiency. Lead surgeons on our network perform 5–10× the case volume of an average U.S. attending — Shanghai Chest alone performs 15,000+ cardiac procedures annually.
A flat coordination fee. Typically 8–12% of the medical bundle, fully disclosed upfront. Covers case review, multi-hospital evaluation, pathway design, visa, hotel, ground transport, interpretation, and the return records packet.
We accept zero commission from hospitals. This is documented in your engagement letter. The quote you receive is the quote that holds.
Two layers of cover. Every partner hospital carries hospital-level malpractice insurance. Medibridge separately maintains a medical-evacuation policy (Global Rescue) for all coordinated patients during their on-ground stay.
Our medical director, Dr. Sarah Park, is available 24/7 for the duration of your stay. Escalation paths to ICU-level care at any of the five partner hospitals are pre-established.
You leave with a translated packet. Discharge summary, operative report, pathology, imaging (DICOM disc), and a 12-week recovery plan — all CMI-translated to English, formatted for ingestion into U.S. EHRs.
If your home physician wants direct contact with your Shanghai surgeon, we facilitate a 30-minute call at no charge in the first 90 days post-op.
Sometimes — depends on your plan. International policies (Cigna Global, Aetna International, Allianz, Bupa) frequently cover both inpatient care and our coordination fee. Domestic-only U.S. plans typically do not.
We provide pre-authorization documents and direct-bill where the carrier accepts it. Most U.S. clients pay out-of-pocket and recover via FSA/HSA where eligible.
English throughout the medical pathway. All lead surgeons on our network speak fluent medical English. Every clinical conversation is also attended by a CMI-certified interpreter — for nuance and protection.
Outside the hospital — drivers, hotel, daily logistics — coordination runs in English, Italian, and Mandarin. Korean, Japanese, French available on request.
